Welcome to the Ridgewater College Foundation Scholarship Program! The Ridgewater College Foundation awards more than $200,000 in scholarships each academic year to a wide range of talented and deserving students. Community organizations, businesses, alumni, faculty, staff, and community members -- concerned with keeping Ridgewater College affordable and accessible to students who seek a quality educational experience -- fund these scholarships through their donations to the Foundation.
More than 300 scholarships are available each academic year to students from a variety of backgrounds and with various educational objectives. Scholarship awards range from $200 to $3200 and recognize students for academic achievement, community involvement, and/or potential for success at Ridgewater College. Some scholarships are offered to students campus-wide, while others are offered specifically to students enrolled at Willmar or Hutchinson. Each scholarship has specific criteria which applicants must meet, such as enrollment in a specific program or discipline, resident or graduate of a particular county, demonstrated leadership ability, or a specified GPA (among others).
Scholarship funds are applied directly to student accounts for tuition and fees only. Scholarship funds are not applied to cover the costs of books, supplies, or special program fees.
Listing of Scholarships Note: This listing of available scholarships is no longer current and will be updated on or about August 1, 2008 for the next scholarship session.
